How to Use the MP State College Predictor
Overview
The MP State College Predictor helps you find colleges in Madhya Pradesh based on your rank and preferences. The tool uses historical data from the MP State Counselling to predict which colleges you might get admission to.
Note: The predictor provides estimates based on 2024 data. Actual cutoffs may vary in the upcoming counseling sessions.
Step 1: Select College Type
Start by selecting the type of college you're interested in. MP State has several college types:
- Government Autonomous Colleges: Colleges run directly by the state government with autonomy.
- University-Owned Colleges: Colleges that are part of state universities.
- Government-Aided Colleges: Private colleges that receive aid from the government.
- Private Colleges: Fully private institutions with their own fee structure.
- Self-Financing Colleges: Institutions that run on self-generated funds.
Step 2: Enter Your Rank and Select Filters
After selecting the college type, enter your rank and apply filters as needed:
- Category: Select your reservation category (UR, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, etc.)
- Class: Select X (for general seats) or other classes if applicable.
- Gender: Choose your gender (OP for all, F for female, M for male).
- MP Domicile: Specify if you have MP domicile (Y for yes, N for no, AI for All India).
- JK Residents/Migrants: Specify if you belong to these special categories.
- Institutes: Filter by specific institutes you're interested in.
- Branches: Filter by specific branches or courses you're interested in.
Step 3: Understand Your Results
After clicking "Predict Colleges," you'll see a list of colleges you might get based on your rank:
- Colleges are sorted by your chances of admission (High to Low).
- The "Chances" column indicates your probability of getting admission.
- Opening Rank: The highest rank that got admission in that program.
- Closing Rank: The lowest rank that got admission in that program.
- If your rank is between or better than these ranks, you have a good chance.
Additional Tips
- Try different combinations of filters to explore more options.
- Compare colleges across different types to find the best fit.
